The Atlanta Braves are World Series champions after defeating the Houston Astros in six games.

It's the Braves' first title since 1995. They won the clinching game 7-0 in Houston with home runs from Jorge Soler, Freddie Freeman and Dansby Swanson. Starter Max Fried threw six scoreless innings. Soler took home the World Series MVP award.

This was the Braves' first World Series appearance since 1999. They got there by defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers, last season's World Series winners, in the National League Championship Series.

This was the third World Series in five years for the Astros, who won the title in 2017.
